Why do Christians give?

We don’t give to the church because it is a charity needing help. We give to the church because we love Jesus, and Jesus loves the church.

There is no one more generous than Jesus.

Out of his great love for us, he willingly gave up his life so that we could have a living relationship with God. As his people we respond freely to that generous love with our own giving as an act of worship to God.

The Bible gives us instructions on how to do this:

• Joyfully — with a heart of thanksgiving to God
• Freely — and not under any compulsion
• Regularly — as we receive, we give
• Proportionally — out of what we have received
• Generously — reflecting the character of God
• Faithfully — trusting that God is our provider
